John Gowins is a counselor with more than 35 years of experience serving individuals, families, and groups through seasons of grief, aging, and major life transitions. He holds a PhD from the University of Denver and Iliff School of Theology and serves through a ministry-based counseling service in the Denver metro area.  

In addition to providing individual and group counseling—both in person and virtually—Dr. Gowins collaborates with local churches to expand access to compassionate, faith-informed care. He has taught Counseling Theories and Personality Theories at two graduate schools and provides supervision and mentoring for newly graduated Christian counselors.

John’s work is grounded in wisdom, compassion, and a deep commitment to walking alongside people with hope and practical support during life’s most challenging seasons.
